Vendlet have several awards for their innovative patient turning system, and have become synonymous with high-quality patient care within the bed.
The acquisition of Vendlet adds a highly innovative and well regarded product to DHG’s comprehensive safe moving and handling portfolio, that will continue to benefit the portfolio’s focus on promoting movement and independence, reducing the risk of caregiver injury and creating the vital link between safe patient handling and pressure ulcer prevention to provide a holistic package of care for patients who are suffering from reduced mobility within the bed. Further, customers of Vendlet will now have access to a significantly greater range of solutions that enable movement and prevent the development of avoidable harms, including an innovative range of pressure ulcer prevention surfaces.

At DHG we continually look to provide healthcare with solutions that improve quality of care, and we firmly believe that Vendlet is one such business that delivers this. We are excited by the opportunity that the acquisition of Vendlet brings to DHG in delivering holistic care packages that focus on improving mobility and reducing the avoidable harms that can occur as a result of immobility.”
Peter Maindal, CEO of Vendlet, said: “Both Vendlet and DHG share a common vision in providing industry-leading solutions that provide better clinical outcomes. DHG, and the broader solutions that they can provide, are a perfect fit for Vendlet, its products, and its expertise. The businesses are highly complementary to each other, and together provide a unique value proposition for patients and caregivers.”
The acquisition of Vendlet, DHG’s first of 2022, is the latest in DHG’s ongoing period of growth and expansion, following on from the acquisitions of Talley Group and United Care in 2021, and the acquisitions of Gate Rehab, Handicare Patient Handling EUROW, and MediMattress (Carital) in 2020.
Backed by ArchiMed, a leading independent investment firm specialised in the healthcare industries, who encouraged this strategic growth through dedicated resources and with significant capital commitment, DHG continue to seek new ways to support efforts to move health forward by delivering innovative and leading solutions for individuals whose lives are impacted by reduced movement.
